1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using KF Car Rental services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our car rental services operated by KF Car Rental ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Rental Requirements

2.1 Driver Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from us, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age (25 years for luxury vehicles)
• Hold a valid driver's license for at least 1 year
• Provide a valid credit card in your name
• Present valid identification (passport or national ID)
• Meet our credit and driving record requirements

2.2 Additional Drivers

Additional drivers must meet the same requirements and be present during vehicle pickup to be added to the rental agreement. Additional fees may apply.

3. Rental Agreement and Reservations

3.1 Reservations

Reservations are subject to vehicle availability. We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of similar or higher category if the reserved vehicle becomes unavailable.

3.2 Rental Period

The rental period begins when you take possession of the vehicle and ends when you return it to our designated location. Late returns may incur additional charges.

3.3 Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup
• Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee
• No-shows will be charged the full rental amount

4. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

4.1 Permitted Use

The rental vehicle may only be used for lawful purposes and normal passenger transportation. You agree to:

• Operate the vehicle safely and in accordance with traffic laws
• Use only authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement
• Keep the vehicle locked when unattended
• Return the vehicle in the same condition as received

4.2 Prohibited Uses

The following uses are strictly prohibited:

• Racing, speed testing, or off-road driving
• Transporting illegal substances or contraband
• Subletting or commercial use without authorization
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Smoking in the vehicle
• Transporting pets without prior approval

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Rental Rates

Rental rates are based on a 24-hour period and include:

• Basic vehicle rental
• Standard insurance coverage
• Unlimited mileage (unless otherwise specified)
• 24/7 roadside assistance

5.2 Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for:

• Fuel (if not returned with same fuel level)
• Late return fees
• Cleaning fees for excessive dirt or odors
• Traffic violations and parking tickets
• Damage to the vehicle
• Additional equipment (GPS, child seats, etc.)

5.3 Security Deposit

A security deposit will be authorized on your credit card at the time of rental. This amount will be released upon satisfactory return of the vehicle.

6. Insurance and Liability

6.1 Basic Coverage

All rentals include basic insurance coverage as required by Malaysian law. This includes third-party liability coverage.

6.2 Additional Coverage

Optional additional coverage is available for purchase, including:

• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
• Theft Protection
• Personal Accident Insurance
• Personal Effects Coverage

6.3 Renter Liability

You are responsible for all damage to the vehicle during the rental period, regardless of fault, unless covered by purchased insurance options.

7. Vehicle Return and Inspection

7.1 Return Requirements

Vehicles must be returned:

• At the agreed-upon date, time, and location
• With the same fuel level as at pickup
• In clean condition (interior and exterior)
• With all provided accessories and documentation

7.2 Inspection Process

Upon return, the vehicle will be inspected for damage, cleanliness, and fuel level. Any discrepancies will be documented and charged accordingly.

8. Breakdown and Emergency Procedures

In case of breakdown, accident, or emergency:

• Contact our 24/7 emergency hotline immediately
• Do not attempt repairs without authorization
• Obtain a police report for any accidents
• Cooperate fully with insurance investigations
• Follow all instructions provided by our staff

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Malaysia.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
