Tawau Airport Car Rental & Pickup
Landing at Tawau Airport (TWU) is the start of most Sabah trips. Instead of waiting for a taxi or adjusting to a bus schedule, book a car that is ready when you land. KF Car Rental arranges self-drive vehicles and chauffeur service for Tawau Airport arrivals, with pickup details confirmed before your flight.
How Tawau Airport pickup works
Share your flight number, arrival time, luggage count and drop-off address when you book. Our team confirms the meeting point and vehicle before arrival. For self-drive rentals, bring your driving licence, IC or passport; we will walk you through the handover and vehicle condition check.
If you prefer a driver, we can arrange a chauffeur for the airport-to-hotel or airport-to-Semporna leg. This is a comfortable option after a long flight or when you are travelling with children and elderly passengers.
Self-drive or chauffeur?
A self-drive car gives you flexibility for Tawau city, Tawau Hills Park and the road to Semporna. It works well for couples, families and travellers who are comfortable driving in Malaysia.
A chauffeur is a better fit if you prefer not to drive on unfamiliar roads or want to rest during the journey. Both options can be quoted before you confirm, so you can compare the total cost and choose what suits your trip.
Popular routes from TWU
Tawau Airport to Tawau city is the most common transfer. Many guests continue to Semporna for island hopping, or use Tawau as a base for food, markets and day trips.
If you are heading further afield, tell us your itinerary so we can recommend a vehicle with enough space for passengers and luggage. For longer routes, we will confirm the pickup and drop-off arrangement in advance.
What to prepare before arrival
Have your licence, identity document and booking confirmation ready. Check your flight status and send us any delay update.
We recommend confirming your pickup at least 24 hours before arrival, especially during weekends and school holidays. If your plans change, contact us on WhatsApp so the team can adjust the handover.
